Cyber Security Awareness Month 2024

October is Cyber Security Awareness Month, a time for all Australians to talk about cyber security and take action to protect their devices and accounts.

The theme for Cyber Security Awareness Month 2024 is Cyber security is everyone’s business. This October, all Australians are encouraged to take 4 simple steps to improve their cyber security:

  1. Turn on multi-factor authentication.
  2. Keep devices and software up to date.
  3. Use strong and unique passwords, such as a passphrase.
  4. Recognise and report phishing.

You can get involved by accessing the Cyber Security Awareness Month 2024 resources on cyber.gov.au. Watch a video about Cyber Security Awareness Month and find easy-to-follow guides on how you can improve your cyber security.

Cyber security is everyone’s business, and it’s important for everyone to take action to secure their accounts and devices from cyber threats.
