Unsuccessful applications
ASD values transparency and encourages candidates to seek feedback if their application is unsuccessful. Candidates are notified of feedback channels in recruitment documentation and subsequent correspondence. We will not provide feedback until the recruitment process has concluded. We thank you for your understanding in this regard.
If, as an external candidate, you are concerned about the transparency or conduct of an ASD recruitment process, you should lodge your concern in the first instance to asd.recruitment@asd.gov.au. Further information about accountability within ASD is available on our Accountability page.
Candidates seeking feedback regarding an unsuccessful security clearance application should contact the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.
Unsuccessful OSA outcomes
An Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) is a mandatory requirement for work in ASD. To maintain the integrity of the OSA process, in the interests of national security, feedback and the disclosure of considerations and decision criteria is strictly limited.
ASD staff members are eligible to request limited feedback or a review of an unsuccessful OSA decision, if the decision adversely impacts their current employment with ASD. Requests for feedback or a review of decision should be directed in the first instance to asd.recruitment@asd.gov.au. Individuals that are not ASD staff members at the time of the OSA decision are not eligible for a review or feedback.
If you are concerned about any aspect of the OSA process or wish to make an OSA-related compliant, please email asd.recruitment@asd.gov.au clearly stating the nature of your concerns.
