AWSN Mentoring Program awarded AIIA’s 2024 Diversity Award

The Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) together with the Australian Women in Security Network (AWSN) are proud to announce that the Women in Security Mentoring Program has won the Diversity Award at the prestigious Australian Information Industry Association’s (AIIA) iAwards.

This achievement is testament to the impact this community-led program has had in fostering a more inclusive environment for women in security roles.

Only 17% of Australia’s security workforce are women. The Women in Security Mentoring Program is focused on increasing this number by using OK RDY’s AI-powered matching technology to connect aspiring female security professionals with experienced mentors, who provide guidance, support and networking opportunities.

The Women in Security Mentoring Program has addressed the critical need for greater gender diversity in the cyber security industry and will continue to foster a more collaborative, supportive and equitable environment.
