What is ASD’s cyber security role?

All Australians, business owners and organisations can access advice from the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) to help stay secure online.

ASD leads the Australian Government’s efforts to improve cyber security by providing best-practice advice, guidance and services. ASD also provides cyber incident response assistance and support to Australian organisations as needed and in strict confidence.

We also work closely with industry and government, to share intelligence and mitigation advice. Find out about ASD's cyber security role and the advice, guidance and services available for you, your family, your business and your organisation.

You can also join ASD’s Cyber Security Partnership Program and become a Home, Business or Network Partner to receive important cyber security alerts and advisories from the ASD. Access the latest cyber security guidance and advice from ASD at cyber.gov.au.

If you have been impacted by a cybercrime, report it online using ReportCyber or by calling the Australian Cyber Security Hotline on 1300 CYBER1 (1300 292 371).
