Expressions of interest are open for the next intake of the AWSN Women in Security Mentoring Program

Did you know that just 17% of Australia’s cyber security workforce is represented by women? Let’s change that together!

Expressions of interest are now open for the next intake of the Australian Women in Security (AWSN) Program, supporting entry level security students, professionals and women in leadership.

The Australian Signals Directorate (ASD), in partnership with AWSN and Australian start-up OK RDY, is pleased to invite you to register your interest for the next intake of the Program commencing on Monday 30 October, 2023.

The Program aims to support an uptake of women’s participation in STEM, security, cyber and national security careers and those looking to enter the industry.

The Program uses AI-powered matching to connect mentors and mentees based on values, interests, and goals to empower meaningful mentorships. In the mentoring app, you can see profiles, communicate with your matches and schedule meetings.

“I like how I can gain a glimpse into what prospective mentors are like. Mentoring is more than just about technical competency. The Mentoring App allows me to learn more about my mentors before connections,” said a recent Mentee.

As part of the Mentoring Program’s Trailblazer series, hear from the head of ASD’s Australian Cyber Security Centre, Abigail Bradshaw, on her career journey and her advice to emerging talent.

The Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) has been a proud sponsor of AWSN since 2019, and this unique Mentoring Program will continue to support women in fulfilling careers in the dynamic security industry.
