ASD recognised for its work supporting the 2021 Digital Census

ASD, in partnership with the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), has taken out the 2022 Institute of Public Affairs Association (IPAA) annual collaboration award, for the two agencies’ work ensuring the smooth running of the 2021 Census.

The IPAA award was established to recognise cross-agency initiatives, where organisations have worked in a collaborative manner to deliver superior results and outcomes.

Over a three year period a number of ASD teams supported and collaborated with the ABS, as part of our role in monitoring the cyber resilience of the Census platform and supporting the delivery of the 2021 Census Digital Service.

The 2021 Census was extremely successful and collected census data on more than 20 million Australians.

This award publicly recognises ASD for its work in building trust and partnerships across government to achieve excellence in cyber security and make Australia the most secure place to connect online.
