The Thales Datacryptor® AP (Advanced Performance) product range is available as the DCAP, DCAP Small Form Factor (SFF) and Mini DCAP models.
These products, referred to below collectively as DCAP, use bulk encryption to protect classified information transmitted over high speed private or public ethernet networks. They have been evaluated to carry up to RESTRICTED information across UNCLASSIFIED links. DCAPs may also be suitable for classification up to SECRET if they are DSD controlled and configured, furnished by Defence and using a DSD supplied cryptographic certificates.
The DCAP range is available in a variety of models for IP, Link and Frame Relay networks, and in both rack-mounting and portable form factors. IP models operate up to 100 Mbps and incorporate a number of advanced features, such as Galois/Counter Mode (GCM) for low-overhead integrity and anti-replay protection, quality-of-service (QoS) information pass-through to support network traffic prioritisation, and hot standby operation for high-availability applications.
All models include features such as advanced anti-tamper technology, which may avoid the need for the Datacryptor to be Protectively Marked. The units have been certified with a Reverse Tunnelling capability (IP and Frame Relay models) that allows better recovery of investment in existing infrastructure and provides a combination of high throughput and low latency.
The use of programmable cryptography enables Datacryptor AP to support a number of approved algorithms for safeguarding information.
